Round 3 Oulton Park

We were hoping the long trip to Oulton was going to be well worth while, a nice twisty circuit where power isn't all important. however.....

In qualifying I lost the brakes on the first lap and had to pump the lever down all the straights to stop for the next corner - I was not happy and was sure I would be back of the grid and working hard, I knew I had losts more to come and was gutted. However the first shock of the weekend came when I found we were on pole!!!

It looked like being a good race with Skelly revved on the 1098 and a few others very close on time - tho to be honest I did think I had a lot left and may be able to get the win. The next shock came when on the start of the second lap when I found myself sliding gracefully down the tarmak with the bike hurtling towards the tyre wall, I was pushing hard in the corners to make up for the straights and I thought if I could get past I might be able to pull away - problem was I fell off before I had a chance!

Jamie and I spent the next three hours trying to fix the bike but to no avail - it was just to bad, so we used my road bike for the second race - tax disc on and all! Lights came of it and on went the slicks, the next shock of the weekend was enjoying every moment of the race and coming in 4th!! not bad on a 120 horse road bike.

Big thanks to Skelly for all the help and a massive thanks to Jamie as always!

10 points behind now and second in the championship. Next round Snett
