Back to Snetterton again and the bad weather continues!

Qualifying was dry and went well - I had the track to myself and managed to get a few flyers in. We put it on pole for the weekend, so far so good!

Before the first race it was drissling, then raining and the strong wind was drying the track quickly in between, ther wasnt really a tyre choice to make - it was more guess work as the conditions were changing from minute to minute. Colin, Ivan and myself decided to go with drys in a pre race chat but none of us looked convinced. Seconds before the last call it rained hard and we were going to throw a wet front in but didn't really have time so we stuck with the drys. Ivan turned up on full wets - one of us was going to do well and the other not! but we still didnt know who!?!?!? Thankfully on the way to the grid the wind picked up again and the track was drying -I knew I had to go hard from the start to keep the tyres warm - so I did - and within a few laps had opened big gap - with everyone telling me slow down on pit wall I did and cruised home with only some small spots of rain on the visor to a 15 second win (and some big slides through the damp patches). Ivan had cooked his rear wet but by all acounts rode a very impressive race to finish 8th.

Race 2 was dry but windy and Ivan, Chaz and myself set about swapping positions and having a great race until the end, Ivan took to the front towards the end of the race and Chaz and I slowed each other up enough to just let Ivan get the break, Ivan 1st and me 2nd - but what a race!

Sunday saw pooring rain early on - but it had dryed up for the 1st race and I was on a mission to get the win - I did the hole shot into turn one and led until the end - this time Chaz, Ivan and Paul slowing each other up letting me cruise to another 10 second win - why cant they all be that easy?

Race four and Me and Ivan get away together and are staying with the front 400's, one of which sits in the middle for the first half of the race making it very hard for me to make a move on Ivan, eventually to 400 moves ahead and I can get onto his back wheel and have a look, the pace is definatly the fastest of the weekend and its hard to make a move - I was quicker in a few places and was up for a move when we hit the backmarkers - a pass was going to be hard, on the penultimate lap there was a gaggle at sears and I went around the outside and pull along side - but Ivan got a tow from the 400 in front and I could make it stick, coming round corum for the last time and thought I could do the job on the breaks but 2 backmarkers blocked the way, Ivan ran in wide and I saw a hole up the inside, just as I was lining it up the back marker went for the rumble strips and was heading straight at me - I avoided him but lost the drive and came home in 2nd. Hornet racing at its best tho with every lap in the low 17.s and every lap between Ivan and me in the same 10th of a second - how cools that?? I got the fastest lap at 1.17.39 and Ivan got 1.17.41, awesome.

Seems like a long time until the last rounds at Cadwell but I cant wait! I go into the last round with a 61 point lead (i think) in the championship.
