In between Superclub rounds we have done a Snetterton Club round (getting two second places) as testing and found a few things out, as a result we had the bike on the Dyno getting some more power and sorted out a few minor things with the brakes and handling.

Arriving at Brands I felt like I was getting to know the bike better - I have not had much track time except short races so its been hard to get comfortable, at Brands (and Snett) we had extra track time and in first practice and qualifying the sun was out and all was good. I qualifyed 3rd and with only 0.2 of a second between the front row - it was all on.

The first race the sun was shining and I hole shoted the start leading for the first few laps, all felt good and I felt I could hold the position, coming into the hairpin Mat Briggs and Stu Martin came under me on the brakes showing I was slower than I thought going in to the hairpin!! I was straight on the back of them and felt confident I could retake the lead - however a back marker pushed me wide and I lost another position to the flying Colin Dunstan who set the fastest lap of the race - I finished 4th.

The second race was a re-run of the first - I hole shoted the start and it was red flagged after an incident on the start line, on the re start I hole shoted again as it started spitting with rain- luckily it held of - Mat Briggs ran away with the win leaving a three way battle for second - which - I lost and came 4th again! I finished next to the 3rd place man Colin and under a second behind the second place man Stu.

The next day we had it all to do again - we had tryed to repair Jack Russels bike as he was experiencing running problems - although he had fought from last place on the grid to an amazing 5th in the 2nd race he still had problems on the Monday but I'm sure he will be back next round even more keen to win! We went to the assembly area for the second race in the pooring rain and they decided to post pone the race till after dinner. The race was still wet but not pouring, again I hole shoted and led for a while until Master Briggs came past, I kept with him for a for most of the race but he eventually eeked away and left me to battle with Colin who out braked me (again) into the hairpin to take second. The lap times in the wet would have put us top 5 in the pro bike race!

For the last race we had a late change of tyres from wets to drys - and you guessed - I took the lead from the start and led for 8 laps of the ten until that man Briggs came past on the brakes - he ran a little wide but shut the door when I tried to get under him agian, I could keep on his back wheel but could not find a way past - on the last lap I saw they were still waving the last lap flag - so - just incase I popped another lap even tho Mat had slowed down ( I have previously lost a race at Silverstone in the same position) - I'm sure if it had been timed it woulda been the quickest of the weekend!!!!!
