Another nightmare weekend, the weather was up and down and tyre choice all important for qualifying- as you may have guessed we made the wrong choice. I was out on wets and for the first few laps was running top 3 but I knew this was not to be as the track dried and I came in early – we finished the first session in 8th. Second qualifying was a similar thing but this time we got the tyres right but I hit slower riders every lap and felt I could do much better than the 7th place we got.
In the first race it was all dry and I made an awesome start up into 3rd and managed to hold on ok for a few laps, Peter Baker was having problems and holding us all up and blasting the straights and I could feel at the same time something was wrong with the throttle, I dropped down to 5th and the over the mountain the problem worsened and the throttle broke – another dnf. Gutted.

The problem stemmed from the brands crash and was not spotted when fixing the bike so we did our best to fix things but it was a bit of a bodge!
Sunday comes and the rain is falling – again I make a good start and soon pull into 2nd place and make a brake to catch the leader, everything seems fine and I cant believe how much grip and feeling I have found with some changes in the settings, I pull around 4 secs from 3rd place then end up high siding out of the hairpin – no warning and I was going no faster than other laps I was really gutted again = another dnf and this time from a comfortable podium position. It soon became apparent there was something down as 5 other riders joined me behind the tyre wall. Bang goes the new paint job too as the fairings are knackered.
For the final race I just want to finish and pootle round to the chequered flag in 7th place.

Not a great weekend, but on the bright side I am riding really well and have
some good settings and confidence in the bike and feel every time out I am getting
faster and faster.
